Getting to Folk Ale

The festival takes place in the grounds of The Kentish Horse, Markbeech, Edenbridge, West Kent, TN8 5NT, south of Edenbridge, just off the B2026 between Cowden & Penshurst.

The simplest routes are given below:

Please note that best access for caravans is via Edenbridge – Hever Road or from Chiddingstone Hoath.

From the north:
Follow B2026 through Edenbridge town. Head south along the by-pass (Mount St Aignon Way) across the river. Turn right at the mini-roundabout, and take the first left into Hever Road.

Continue along Hever Road (becomes Uckfield Lane) to the T junction at Markbeech; the Kentish Horse is on your right.

From the south:
Head for Edenbridge town on the B2026. Turn right at Cowden Pound crossroads, opposite the Queen’s Arms – the Folk Ale is signposted.

Caravans may have difficulty turning into the Kentish Horse car park and camping ground from this direction. Caravans should continue along the B2026 towards Edenbridge. Bear right at the junction with the B2028 (Lingfield) towards Edenbridge. Pass the Harvest petrol station on your right and the War Memorial Hospital on the left.Turn right onto Hever Road opposite The Star pub and before entering the High Street. Continue along Hever Road (becomes Uckfield Lane) to the T junction at Markbeech; the Kentish Horse is on your right.
