Following the recent sad passing of Keith Rule, a tribute concert is being planned for this year’s Folk Ale at the Kentish Horse.
Keith leaves a legacy of songs, poems and writings which the family hope to eventually make available for others to read, sing, and keep alive – though this may take some time. In the meantime, Tone Deaf Leopard will be organising a session at Folk Ale which will focus on remembering Keith, and will they will be particularly interested to hear from those who perform any of Keith’s songs. The concert will take place on Friday afternoon, after the open mic session. If you wish to take part please contact Sue Tuckey or leave a message on the Pig’s Ear FaceBook Page.
In these, as in many other ways, Keith lives on in our hearts.
We Will Sing.
By popular demand, the tickets for this year’s Pig’s Ear Folk Ale Festival are now on sale.
Anyone who has been to ‘Piggies’ in the past will know that this is the friendliest little festival you could possibly imagine, set in the grounds of the Kentish Horse, Markbeech. Starting on Thursday 1st June with the ‘Dance For Grant’, there is then a full programme of concerts, workshops, sessions & singarounds throughout the weekend.
For those who wish to camp there is an adjacent field with amazing views over the Weald of Kent.
Numbers are limited, particularly for camping, so book now to avoid any potential disappointment.
